| Set in a beautiful rural setting in Hockerton near Southwell in the
Nottinghamshire countryside Christys is proud to offer a stunning venue
for a variety of events, from conferences and business meetings to
private parties and civil weddings. Although Christys sits in a tranquil setting it is surprisingly easy to reach, being close to major roads, train stations and major towns and cities in the area, making it an ideal venue in which to hold a special event, whether to meet friends or colleagues, to work, relax or do both. As well as our excellent events and meeting room facilities we are also pleased to present our restaurant to clients and diners. From Norma's cakes and biscuits to our chefs delicious home cooked menu all of our produce is locally sourced and of the highest quality. We also offer an excellent wine list, and, for the true connoisseur, a beer list of over 50 English Beers.Whatever the reason you come to visit us, whether a business meeting or family party we offer excellent service, warm friendly surroundings and hopefully a memorable experience. | ABOUT CHRISTYS VENUE |

Christys is a family run business which
originally opened in 1994 as a farm shop. A tea
room was then added and in 2000 a new kitchen
was built and Christys restaurant came into
being. After a while Simon Christy decided that another change was in order and that there was a need for a venue in the area which offered people the chance to meet, celebrate and work in lovely surroundings with a real warm welcoming atmosphere. The farm shop closed and Christys venue began. The new modern facilities available are ideal for businesses wishing to hold meetings presentations, training seminars and conferences. The conference room and restaurant also offer the perfect surroundings for a beautiful country wedding of family get together. The atmosphere we promote is warm and friendly, whilst also being modern and efficient. We did not want the growth of our business to mean that Christys became a cold and clinical place to be. Our team is enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we know that this combined with our friendly and professional approach is appreciated by our clients both business and personal. |

Warm and inviting, Christys Restaurant offers a fine selection of local produce, prepared and served by our skilled and dedicated team. Not only do we pride ourselves on offering our clients the best in local produce wherever we can, we also pride ourselves on doing this at extremely reasonable prices. We like our customers and we want them to visit us whenever they can We can also offer an excellent selection of wines, and over 50 English beers, to accompany and compliment your meal. Christys is the ideal venue at which to hold a
business conference, meeting or training
session. Relaxed yet professional, this family run venue can offer not only delightful surroundings but also excellent conference and meeting facilities all at reasonable prices. When you decide to hold your business conference or meeting at Christys you not only have use of our large airy conference room, which seats up to 80 people, but you and your colleagues also have the option of making use of our excellent restaurant, serving homemade food, as well as the surrounding grounds. You may also wish to relax after your meeting by doing some fishing, taking advantage of our lake stocked with trout. Our conference room may be booked by the day or half day during the week and we are able to offer your company a wide range of professional conference equipment for hire, from flipcharts to plasma screens and audio equipment. We are also well situated, just outside of Southwell in Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands, and can be easily reached by car or train from Newark Northgate Station and East Midlands Airport is easily reached. Should you have any special requirements we will be pleased to discuss them with you and do our best to accommodate you. WEDDINGS AT CHRISTYS

Set in beautiful countryside that promises to
make your day and your wedding photographs even
more perfect; when you hold your wedding at
Christys you can be sure that your special day
will be a wonderful experience. We are able to hold civil wedding ceremonies of up to 80 people in our beautiful events room, with its fabulous high beamed ceilings, which has been decorated in glamorous neutral tones in order to compliment any colour scheme you choose. Our restaurant is a wonderful place to hold your reception, with delicious homemade, well presented food using local produce and enough space to put on the music and dance the night away with your family and friends. If you would prefer to have an outdoor wedding ceremony and reception in our lovely grounds we are able to provide you with an elegant marquee in which to hold and celebrate your wedding, complete with drinks, food and music. Your guests are then free to wander by the lake and around the grounds, taking in the scenery as they celebrate with you. We want you to have the day you deserve and will sit down with you to go through every detail to ensure that things are just as you want on the day. We are also aware of how expensive holding a wedding can be so as well as great service we can assure you that our prices are always very reasonable.
